The Berlin singer CORA LEE will perform with her band at the Peace Festival 2010 (without a fee). The Festival of 6 to 8 August at the Berlin Alexanderplatz presents policy talks, information stands, social, developmental and environmental organizations as well as live music from 39 nations.
Sunday, the 8th August is devoted especially the rights of children. The Berlin journalist Peter Henselder will give a star-studded panel discussion for the victims of child abuse. For the occasion, Cora Lee introduces her song “Silent Scream” including the related video. The title focuses on disturbing images and text explicitly with the issue of abuse from the victim perspective. With the video, the singer shows a very personal view on the subject, collected and formed into images by director Bodo Gierga.
Purpose of the video is, as a carrier of emotion and information on this delicate issue, to give victims a voice heard and encourage people to look (and intervention!) in gray areas. The video is therefore made available to interested organizations and activists royalty-free, it may be copied, embedded and passed on, as long this is done free of charge.
On 4 August at 13.00 clock in CIRCUS SHAKE (10243 Berlin, Postbahnhof/Wasserturm), the press conference of the Peace Festival will be held. To participate is welcome. There is also the opportunity to watch the video or maintain. Contact the organizer:
